GD3 Business Plan - new contract period with Ofgem 1/4/26 - 31/3/31
Ofgem will be publishing their Final Determinations on our GD3 Business Plan on 4th December. This will confirm how much funding the GDNs will receive during the next 5-year price control period.
VCMA Governance – Citizens Advice have asked Ofgem to consider additional governance on VCMA in the new contract. GDNs are working with Ofgem and key stakeholders to ensure that any additional governance is proportionate and will add value for the customers and communities that the VCMA is designed to support.

Mutual Aid
We are working closely with our utility partners across water and electricity to create a mutual aid agreement. This is to ensure that we formalise the support that we provide to each other during supply interruptions.
Winter Readiness
For NGN, winter officially starts on 1st October and ends 31st March. We are concluding our winter readiness, which includes checking on equipment availability, training colleagues to support incidents, and reviewing all our protocols. N-Gen
Bradford Low Carbon project – NGN are delighted to be working together with Hygen to deliver a state-of-the-art low carbon hydrogen production facility in east Bradford, on the NGN Birkshall gas site in Bradford. It will deliver one of the UK’s largest low carbon hydrogen production facilities, with the aim of using renewable energy to produce hydrogen. The project is on track for a final investment decision at the end of November.
