‘Breaking the Food Poverty Cycle: Building Emotional and Financial Resilience for Food Bank Users’
Andrew Sykes provided an overview of a new financial capability course, Boss the Cost Of Living Crisis (COLC) which is funded through VCMA under the project with NGN ‘Breaking the Food Poverty Cycle: Building Emotional and Financial Resilience for Food Bank Users’.
The project aims to support clients who are using local foodbanks and living in food poverty. The aim is to reduce the numbers accessing food banks through a process of income maximisation, debt advice, financial capability training, temporary food support and mental health support.
