We would like to extend our sincere thanks to everyone who attended the Customers in Vulnerable Situations annual strategic workshop, held on Tuesday 13th May.
The NGN VCMA team greatly appreciated the opportunity to see you all again. A special thank-you goes out to our guest speaker, Jo Dixon - Services Beyond the Meter (SBtM) Project Lead, who delivered an insightful overview of the SBtM VCMA project. This project plays a vital role in supporting customers in vulnerable situations, helping to ensure they remain safe and warm in their homes.

Engagement update
Customers in Vulnerable Situations Workshops
Over the past year we’ve maintained regular engagement with our stakeholders through a series of quarterly CIVS hot topic workshops. These sessions focused on priority areas identified by participants including:
- Supporting Communities Together - Open Day
- (Themes included Digital Switchover, Seldom Heard Groups and Winter Readiness)
- Behind Closed Doors – Making Every Contact Count
- Supporting Vulnerable Customers Through the Energy Transition
Annual Vulnerability and Carbon Monoxide Allowance showcase event
This collaborative GDN event highlights key VCMA projects delivered over the past year and key achievements. Last year's showcase, hosted by NGN, saw strong engagement, with over 300 attendees participating online.
Partner Networking Call (monthly)
Led by our partners, these monthly calls promote collaboration and the sharing of good practices to enhance the sustainability of key projects.
Strategic Partner Quarterly Meeting
Refreshed for this year and aligned to our bespoke vulnerability mapping, these quarterly meetings play a crucial role in shaping NGN’s vulnerability strategy.
The group identifies emerging needs and contributes to the development of robust support plans for GD3.
Key Stakeholder Bilateral Meetings
These focused one-to-one sessions allowed us to maintain ongoing engagement with key stakeholders throughout the year, providing valuable input into the development of our GD3 Business Plan.
Citizen's Panel and Young Innovators Council
We continued to use these engagement channels over the past year to explore complex and sensitive issues, gaining valuable insights and perspectives direct from our customers and future bill payers.
Quarterly Vulnerability Newsletter
We are currently redeveloping the newsletter into a refreshed format, under the leadership of our new VCMA Communications Manager, to provide more targeted updates and resources.
NGN Supporting Communities Together Open Day
This session creates an opportunity to bring partners together face-to-face with key stakeholders and NGN colleagues. The event is used to showcase ongoing projects across our network, focus on specific themes of interest and strengthen collaborative relationships.
